Day1

Today, your adventure starts with the arrival in Kathmandu. Our team will come to the Tribhuvan International Airport and welcome you with the name of yours on the cardboard. You will be transferred to the hotel, and you can have a rest. We will meet in the late afternoon for the trek briefing. After that, you can explore the Thamel area, which is also a tourist hub in Kathmandu.

Day2

You can spend your day by visiting some places nearby Kathmandu. You can go on exploring the cultural and historical gems of Kathmandu Valley, visiting Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Boudhanath Stupa.

Day3

On this day, you will be traveling in a scenic flight to Lukla. While flying, highly recommend taking a left seat to get a better view of mountains during your flight, as the flight to Lukla does not require seat planning. After you reach Lukla, you meet your porter and have breakfast. You start your journey from there with the descent to Phakding, and you cover a total distance of 6.2 km / 3.8 miles. It is an easy trek today to descend, and you will get to see greenery all around you. You will be crossing many suspension bridges and get to see Kusum Kangaru.

Day4

On this day, you take a gradual ascend that passes through the Toktok village, Banker village, and Monjo village. You will get to see many waterfalls along the way, and Thamserku Himal on your right. You will be crossing many suspension bridges in between and reach Sagarmatha National Park, where we check in our permits and continue the trek from there. Note that, if you have a drone, you need to take a permit for a drone as well, or you may need to leave your drone behind and take it after you return.

Sagarmatha National Park is rich in wildlife and biodiversity, so you will get to see the varieties of wild animals, birds, and colorful flowers. After this, you finally reach Jorsale. You will be walking up to the distance of 7.3 km / 4.5 miles this day.

Day5

After breakfast, you will start your trek early with an easy walk for 40 minutes to an hour, followed by a steady climb to Namche Bazaar. Along the way, you will be crossing the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge over Dudh Koshi and spot wildlife such as musk deer. From Tope Dada, you may get your first glimpse of Mount Everest if the weather is clear. The trek takes 4-5 hours to get completed.

You will be passing through pine and rhododendron forests before reaching Namche. You will get to see the beauty of colorful wildflowers along with the rhododendron over the trails if you make it in the spring season. You ascend around 700 meters this day, so walk slowly and gradually. You covered the total distance of 4.7 km / 2.9 miles today.

Day6

This is the rest day for you at Namche Bazaar. You can spend your day with the full utilization of going to hike up to the Everest View Hotel, which is at an altitude of 3,880 meters and also recorded as the highest placed hotel for the eye-capturing views of snowy mountains such as Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, with a sip of hot coffee, hot chocolate, or any hot drinks. On the way to Everest View Hotel, you can also witness the Yak Farm.

You can also visit the Khumjung Village, the Namche Museum, or Syangboche Airport, the highest airport in the world. Khumjung village is famous for Sherpa culture and tradition, with an old monastery with a Yeti scalp decorated inside. Otherwise, you can stay at Namche and explore the Namche Bazaar with relaxation. If you are lucky enough, you will get to visit the big Saturday market, or you can visit the fancy restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops.

Day7

This day, you trek from Namche to Tengboche, which has a mostly flat trail at the start. You will reach Kyangjuma village, where you will get to have multiple glimpses of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. You will be crossing the suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi today as well, with the beauty of the Himalayas around you. After you reach Kyangjuma, you start descending to Phungi Thunga and have a delicious meal as lunch.

You take a rest for a few minutes after having a meal and ascend to Tengboche. You will get to visit the Tengboche Monastery, which is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region, around 600 years old, opened at 7am and 3pm. You can also go visit there. You will get to observe the gorgeous views of snowy mountain ranges smiling at you in the peaceful environment.

Today, you have breakfast and start your trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, which takes approximately 4 to 5 hours depending upon your walking pace. You will be trekking through rhododendron forests and cross suspension bridges before you enter an alpine landscape. After that, you reach the Pangboche village, where you will get to see the mesmerizing mountain views of Ama Dablam and many more.

You will have a walk of a total distance of 10.6 km / 6.6 miles today. Once you reach the farming village, Dingboche, you will get to witness the pretty Himalayan vistas. This village is known for the views of surrounding mountains and beautiful stone-walled fields. After you reach Dingboche, you can rest there for this day.

Day9

Today is the day dedicated to your proper rest of the body along with the acclimatization. It is important to adjust your body  according to the level of oxygen that gets thinner as you move upwards. You can go for a hike up to Nagarjuna Hill (5,100m/16,732ft), which is steep up with the incredible mountain views. Some trekkers go to the top, and some return halfway. Today you will get to have a first glimpse of Mount Makalu (8,485m/27,838ft), which is also the fifth-highest mountain in the world.

You can also witness the mountains such as Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtega, Taboche Peak, Chaulache Peak, and Lobuche Peak. After blessing your eyes with these breathtaking views, you descend back to Dingboche for lunch. In the late afternoon, you can have a walk around the nearby areas.

Day10

Today’s trek takes around 5 to 6 hours in total, which has a total distance of 8 km / 5 miles. You will be taking gradual ascends with steep climbs through dry and rocky landscapes. This trail has an inclination, and you can see the alluring views of Ama Dablam and other mountain peaks. After that, you reach Thukla for lunch and make yourself energized for the Thukla pass. 

After having lunch, you start to climb uphill to Thukla Pass, and you will get to see the Everest memorial, which is a collection of tombs dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. You catch your first glimpse of Mount Pumori and Khumbu Glacier during this hike, and the last hour of this trek is a bit easier than before. You can see the great views of mountains like Nuptse, Pumori, Lobuche Peak, and many more as you reach Lobuche, where you will spend your night today.

Day11

Today's trek begins with the climb to rocky and glacial terrains, following the Khumbu Glacier. The air becomes thinner with the rugged landscapes as you reach Gorak Shep, the last point before Everest Base Camp (EBC). This day is rewarding, as you made a great effort up to this point with all your hard work and pushing your limit. After you take a break at Gorak Shep, you head towards the Everest Base Camp through the rocky and marine Khumbu Glacier. You will feel lucky that you made it here, so with the happiness inside your heart, you start your trek to EBC.

As you reach the Everest Base Camp, you will not believe your eyes and the efforts you have made till date. You will stand at the foot of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest, which is surrounded by the snowy mountain peaks, such as Nuptse, Pumori, Lulu, Lingtren, Lobuche Peak, and many more, along with the gorgeous Khumbu Icefall. The view of massive glaciers and the snow-layered mountain peaks will leave you speechless and feel heavenly.

Day12

This day you start your trek early in the morning at around 4:30 am with a headlamp on your head to Kala Patthar. It has a steep, tough climb around 2 and a half hours up there with the freezing cold, so you should be well prepared with gloves, hats, and warm clothes. You will be rewarded with the panoramic views of mountains like Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Khumbu Glacier. You will feel like you have come to a different world where you will witness the Himalayas bathing under the sunlight during sunrise.

 After spending 15 to 20 minutes there, you will come back to Gorak Shep and have your breakfast. Then you start your journey to Pheriche after crossing Lobuche and Thukla. Pheriche offers you the alluring views of Ama Dablam and many towering peaks, which makes this village a beautiful stop for trekking. You will cover a distance of around 12 km / 7.5 miles on this day.

Day13

Today, you will be descending to the beautiful Sherpa village called Phortse Thanga. This trail has a slight ascend and descend, passing through the rhododendron and pine forests, which change from the rocky high-altitude terrains. You can dive yourself fully into the peaceful beauty of this region.

As you reach Phortse Thanga, you will see a wide landscape with the captivating views of Thamserku and Ama Dablam in the distance. This village lies near the Dudh Koshi river bank, which offers peace and a calm atmosphere. You spend your night here and prepare for the further descent. The total distance of 9 km / 5.6 miles is covered by you today.

Day14

Today's walk is a gradual ascend and descent from Phortse Thanga to Khumjung village. You can descend at a relaxing pace, enjoying the surroundings. You will be passing through the alpine meadows along with Sherpa villages and some glimpses of Mount Everest and Ama Dablam. The natural beauty and the cultural richness of the Sherpa villages are literally an add-on to this trek.

Khumjung village is the large Sherpa village, which is famous because of its monastery, which is also said to be the house of Yeti Scalp. There is also a well-known school named Hillary School, which was founded by Sir Edmund Hillary. This village has a unique mixture of Sherpa culture and history. You will spend your night in this charming village with a cover of 8 km / 5 miles.

Day15

Today’s trek is a descent to Toktok from Khumjung village, passing through the forest areas. You will be crossing many suspension bridges along the way over the Dudh Koshi river. The air starts to become warm, and you will start to see lush greenery landscapes at the lower altitudes. This trail takes you through the Namche Bazaar, where you will get to revisit the lively atmosphere of that place.

From Namche, you will descend to Jorsale, with the fresh mountain air. You will be passing through the rhododendron forests and dense pine forests with the soothing sound of a river flowing. After this, you reach Toktok, your stop point for today. You will be walking around 8.5 km (5.3 miles) from Khumjung to Toktok.

Day16

This is the final day of your trekking from Toktok to Lukla, which is also the day of completion of your Everest Base Camp trek with lots of memories. The trekking trails follow the Dudh Koshi river, which passes through the village named Phakding. This is an easy trek with flat terrain and few ascents. You will be crossing suspension bridges and dense forests. 

As  you reach Lukla, you will feel a bit nostalgic remembering your start of the trek. Lukla is your final stop before flying back to Kathmandu, where you’ll spend your last night in the mountains. You will be walking the distance of 7.4 km / 4.6 miles today.

After having an early breakfast, you will be returning back to Kathmandu through the scenic flight from Lukla. Flights to Lukla can sometimes change because of busy air traffic at Kathmandu's airport, which handles both international and domestic flights. In this case, you may need to drive 4 to 5 hours from Kathmandu to Manthali Airport in Ramechhap to catch your flight to Lukla.
