We had a great time trekking through the Himalayas. Everything was taken care of. We didn't have to worry about anything. Our guide Karan Gurung was amazing. Such an experienced guide. We always felt safe and also had a lot of fun while trekking. We were so glad to have Karan, our dedicated guide and Taran Gurung, our very strong porter with us. Especially on the way to Tilicho lake with the landslide areas. Everything was tailored and flexible to our preferences before and during the trek. In the teahouses during the trek we also didn't have to worry about anything. Karan and Taran made sure we had the nicest rooms and best experiences in the mountains. We enjoyed the company and also our own spare time. I have celiac disease, so I eat glutenfree. Anytime we had food, Karan made sure to communicate it well with the kitchen. Even with my weird request with egg with bananas. We were blown away by the beautiful nature of Nepal as well as the variety which you encounter on the Annapurna Circuit. Each day was a different experience altogether. We did Poonhill as a beautiful end to the trek. In April the Rhododendrons were absolutely gorgeous. We did our trek end of March/start of April.

Karan took my partner and I on a trek to Everest Base Camp and it is one of our favourite memories! The whole trip was fantastic, well organised and full of adventure. We felt well taken care of by Karan and had lots of fun games of cards in the tea houses each night with other people we met along the way.

Me and my partner visited the Himalayas last year for the first time and we soon recognised the reason this region of the world is known as one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Like who wouldn’t a trekking adventure through the mountains for 12 days, experience nature at its finest conquering Everest Base Camp at the same time.

There’s a person to thank for this trip:

Raju first met us at the airport and we rode a taxi back to our hotel, from the very first moment of meeting us he was very conscious of how we were feeling, were we tired after the flight, did we need some rest etc. After dropping us off and having some rest he returned later that evening to brief us on the trips itinerary and put our minds at rest. Fast forward to the trip, I can say hand on heart I don’t believe our trip would have been so enjoyable without Raju as our guide he was the most caring attentive guide we could have wished for. He’s been on the mountains since a young boy and knows the routes like the back of his hand, he speaks English proficiently and has a a ton of stories to tell you along the way. Raju has built him self a wealth of connections on the trek and because of this we always seemed to get the best hotels first, the bigger meals, the better rooms compared to the other trekking trips.

If you’ve never been to Nepal before it’s unlikely you know who your guide will be, it’s luck of the draw how good they’re going to be. We didn’t know Raju before we arrived in Nepal, so this time we hit jackpot.If you’ve got this far you now know the Himalayas best guide.

This was a travel highlight for my husband and I in large part because of the excellent service we received from Raju. Raju made sure we stayed in comfortable accommodations, ate well and were able to take full advantage of the spectacular vistas of the Himalayas. We highly recommend a Himalayan trek with Raju!!!
